Call to Action (CTA)

« Back to Glossary Index

Call to Action is a marketing method through which we offer a customer or visitor a tool they use to initiate an activity or event. An example of a Call-to-Action method can be a contact form on a site, in which case you offer the user the opportunity to contact you. This has more chance to result in interaction or activity than if the CTA was not in place.

Call to actions are commonly used across the Internet and it doesn’t necessarily have to be of a commercial matter. For example, a CTA may be a question in an article that encourages the reader to discuss.
