A decade of Miroslavo
A Journey Through Art, Growth, and Reinvention
My artistic journey began in 2015, evolving through experimentation, relocation, and exploration of new styles. This timeline captures 10 years of growth, exhibitions, collaborations, and creative breakthroughs—shaping Miroslavo into what it is today.

Let's Get Started...
June 2015
The Beginnings & First Sketches
It was an amazing feeling to buy that first set of pencils, which I still have to this day! Those books too—they promised I could learn to draw in 30 days, and I really did.
With curiosity and dedication, I dove into self-study, using books and relentless practice to master the fundamentals of drawing and realism. Within just a month, I was already producing detailed sketches that revealed a natural talent for form, shading, and structure.
Over the next six months or so, I must have produced around 50-100 sketches, exploring the figure, architecture, objects, and more. These early works became the foundation for everything that followed. I eventually broke away from realism and dove into abstract surrealism.
August 2016
Early commissions – Exploring Painting and Abstraction
In a very short time, I had received my first commission based on my style I had been developing since I began. I had eventually developed it further in 2020, bringing what I learnt in Barcelona back to the wall.
2016-2017
Move to Barcelona. Miroslavo is Born. The First Collections.
Since the beginning I had been inspired a lot by Piet Mondrian, and well arriving to Barcelona, a playful and childlike vibe has swayed over me, generating the first collections, later drawing inspiration from local artists like Joan Miró.
The Miroslavo signature was also used the first time marking a moment of reinvention.
These collections show the evolution into playful abstraction using geometric shapes which later evolved into a form of childlike surrealism.
2018-2019
First Breakthrough
First exhibitions, live painting performances and visibility.
2019-2020
Recognition & Growth–From Pure Abstraction to Expressionism
This marks a moment of my breakthrough in abstract expressionism and owning my style, which caught interest from clients and collaborators.
2021-2023
Solo Museum Show in Czechia, Commercial Success & International Recognition
Important evolution in my journey, making my first institutional solo museum show, generating commercial success and receiving international recognition from prestigious institutions. Miroslavo® also becomes a registered trademark.
2024
Expansion & Creative Growth
This period is marked as the year of expansion, Miroslavo Art Gallery opening and important collaborations with major institutions and art projects.
Present
Building Momentum – Mastering Both Abstraction & Realism
Year 2025 started with 2 huge exhibitions, one a collective, another a solo, finished by an online showcase on my website and socials. So far, this year is marked by merging abstraction and realism, deep experimentation with new techniques and launching my YouTube channel where I document my painting sessions and artistic journey.
