Settler (painting)

“I created the Settler a few weeks after returning to Barcelona in 2018 after my first 3-week visit to my homeland, Czechia, that I left 15 months earlier. In this painting, like with the Gift and Progress, I’m introducing a new colour, blue, as well as the use of white acrylic paint producing awesome contrasts. I’m utilising here what I learnt so far, as well as what I learnt from my visit to my homeland, and integrating everything in the process.” – Miroslavo.
