Paintbrush

A brush is a tool with bristles, wire or filaments made from various materials. Brushes are used in various fields including cleaning, hair, make up, painting and others.

It’s a tool that every household owns for various purposes as well as the magic wand of every artist.

Without brushes, a painter wouldn’t be able to apply paint to his canvas paintings. A paintbrush usually has bristles clamped to a metal ferrule which is then attached to the handle made usually of lacquered wood or moulded plastic.

Paintbrushes can be made from sable, synthetic or nylon. They also come in different shapes: round, flat, angle, fan, etc…and in numerous sizes ranging from 0 to 30.

In art, you can have various paint brushes suited for acrylic and oil colours as well as for example watercolours.
